“It’s interesting—the word ‘Soul’ here is the same as the one used to describe the Sun,” Alexander explained. “It could be that the ancient people perceived some corollary between the two.
“So, the name here,” he said, underlining a word, “could possibly translate as Soulborne, or maybe Sunborne, depending on the context.
“Likewise, the sword—which shares the same root word—could’ve been Soul Blade, or perhaps Sun-Blade, though that doesn’t seem to fit as well.
“As for the map,” Alexander continued, “it appears to be a different world from our own; however, the geological patterns suggest this may instead be a map from prehistory.”
He gestured to a map of the island Nova. “Here, for example, it looks like Nova could’ve been a part of Eladdiff,” he said, tracing a finger along the mountain range from the map copied off the table.
“And also here,” he continued more excitedly, indicating a spot on both maps, “I believe these two locations are the same as well—it appears to be in the Moonlit Jungle!”
